Hi I have enabled the root user however I still can not set the printer potions to colour. Working in black and white which is a start Can you help? The user name “root” and the password I specified will not work

With difficulty it works, settilg to “Color” and “2 bits”, but the color of a photograph is not as what we want. But thanks for the tips, we can print in color but quality is not as we want.

When I go to http://localhost:631/ and then to Manage printer, I can’t find “set printer option” to change color mode. Any suggestions? The printer is printing in B/W only.

Hi Guys
I have a hp laserjet 1600 and I have downloaded the software. It works fine in B/W but when I go to the locahost:631 link it won’t accept any of my passwords or root password etc. I have enabled the root user facility in my finder as the Apple site suggests but still not able to print in colour.

Any ideas??

Guys,
when I set the “bits per plane” to “2 bits per plane”, it prints with color but the color is not matching the original image?!.

On Snow Leopard 10.6.2 you must change bit to 2.
