Let’s get right down to the problem… You have 3 people who are on an island. We’ll call them Mark, Ryan, and Evan. Unfortunately, they have to leave. Well the results (short-term anyway) are in. From what I can tell, Bursts ads are performing similarly to the poorly-paying Adsense ads on the site listed in Part I and Part II. In fact, they’ve been exceeding the performance of the old Adsense ads by about 10-20%, although since it’s only been 6 days since the intial post, I hardly have enough information to be certain that they will keep performing. I run a site called Warcraft-Maps.com, which offers free map downloads, as well as a little description/review of each map. Since it’s inception, I’ve had Google Adsense ads running on it. Now, the site gets oodles of traffic. You would think that it would pay well, but it doesn’t. In fact, despite having more traffic and offering more clicks/day than any of my other sites, it generates less revenue because of a low CPC rate on Warcraft-related ads.

This is of course great for the advertisers… not so great for me. continue reading…
