Fixing worn out mouse feet

What happens when you take a heavy mouse (battery-operated wireless perhaps), and use it on a coarse mousepad (such as the Ratzpad GS), for an extended period of time? Worn mouse feet. In fact, they can wear themselves right off.

For those who have experienced worn out mouse feet, you basically have a few options. First, you can just buy a new mouse. Not a great option, especially if the mouse cost over $50 and is in otherwise good shape. The 2nd option is teflon stickers designed for mouse feet. But if the hard plastic originally on the mouse wore off, what makes you think little stickers are going to last? The final option: A quick do-it-yourself proceedure to permanently fix the problem.

Search Engine Friendly (SEF) URLs with Joomla

With one of my most recent website projects, I decided to try out a CMS (content management system). For those who don’t know what a CMS is, it basically simplifies putting together a website. I became interested in this sort of thing when I ordered my new pair of glasses earlier last month when I ordered my first pair of glasses from 39DollarGlasses.com . Those who know me know that I really like to “delve into the details” when I start researching even the most simple thing, so I thought I’d put my knowledge to good use and share what I’ve learned. I’ll post a link when it’s up, but here are some of the basic points I listed at the end which sum up the article quite well: Read more…

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to Matt Gadient’s blog. So why have I chosen to start up with a blog at blogger.com? Quite simply, after reading up on different blog hosts (MySpace, MSN, or fantastico options if I were hosting it myself) I determined that blogger.com offered the best interface for quick, easy, blogging. It is also the most professional-looking online host in my opinion. Read more…
